Hi friend of PRX,

It’s the season for battening down. The full force of nature hadn’t been on our minds until this report about the possible appearance of a hurricane at the Republican National Convention. Hold the jokes about hot air.

This week, WLRN and the Miami Herald will broadcast an incredible radio documentary recounting the killer 1992 hurricane named Andrew; here is some of their work on the tragedy. And don’t miss the State of the Re:Union episode tracing the recovery from Hurricane Katrina.
