PRX: The Envelope Please

Hi friend of PRX,

The Oscars are cool and all. For something that started when Clark Gable was still considered a rising star.

PRX will put the Zeitfunk Awards up against the gold statue of a naked man anytime. We’re crunching the numbers to see which producer was THE most licensed, what stations aired the most PRX stuff and tons of other categories. Try to handicap the winners based on last year’s results. Watch PRX.org at the end of the month!

The results are still “Up in the Air”!

PRX Thinks Haiti

Hi friend of PRX,

It is hard to be witty in the midst of a hemispheric calamity. Haiti has gone from immediate crisis to long-term tragedy.

So, we suggest long-term perspective: this World Vision special (after all, they are one of the NGOs on the ground); the new Haitian immigrants coming to south Florida; background on Haitian activist/musician Wyclef Jean. And we wondered what happened to the little Haitian boy in this story from December.

Listen and then consider donating.
