PRX Almost Gets Bezo’d

Hi friend of PRX,

We bet you missed the fine print.

Besides the WashPo yesterday, Jeff Bezos reached into his spare change purse, brushed past the $250 mil for the paper, and found just a little extra jingle to tempt PRX with the ol’ One-Click®.

But we’re sober sorts not used to dating Amazons, so we politely declined. We want to still hang with them that brung us: the big and the small, the new and the tried and true. The timely and the classic.

Moments of the Movement

New Civil Rights series

August 28th is the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington. To mark the occasion, New Visions New Voices presents Moments of the Movement — personal histories from the Civil Rights Movement.

Each Moment is three-and-a-half minutes, perfect for dropping into your news programming. Check out the full series, especially this portrait of photographer Cecil Williams.

Summer Potpourri

Tap into the buzz

  • Orange is the New Black-esque and on PRX: “I am a mom…a leader…a quilter… I’m lots of things. Accepting the label ‘felon’ was really hard.”

Labor Day

Just a month away

  • Hearing Voices presents stories on the work we do, from Wall Street traders to taxi cab drivers.
