From a Durham porch…

Maybe some of you were lucky enough to hang out for a few days at the Center for Documentary Studies in Durham, North Carolina for the Listening Institute last month. CDS and Third Coast joined forces and played some amazing indie productions: from Todd Wemmer, Aengus Anderson, Sam Greenspan and Stanzi Vaubel.
The critique sessions were tough and honest. The food, drink and deep discussions about radio, audio software, techniques and the challenges of the craft meant it was a true gathering of the creative tribe. Go next year! Contact John Biewen about more CDS events. Also take a listen to his new Travels with Mike special, recreating Steinbeck’s journey across America.
